They offer Cantonese styled BBQ meats that are household favorites, and welcomed additions to the dinner table on special occasions or to simply satisfy cravings.
Roast Duck Possibly one of the best roasts ducks around when it comes to flavor, texture, and price. A whole duck runs you $30 but you can also get half the duck for half the price as well. But the tricky part is getting the duck itself because it sells out almost immediately after each batch is made.
Soy Sauce Chicken Not overly salty, nor is it overly sweet. HK BBQ Master finds a way to make the chicken itself shine through a brine that makes the meat juicy and flavoured all throughout while introducing a floral aromatic scent.
Roast Pork Roast pork is challenging to get right because it often fails in two ways due to the same problem. The meat can get be dry from the high heat and long cook time required to make the skin crispy. But I am glad to say that it is the meat succulent, but the skin might even remove new cavity fillings.
BBQ Pork (Chashu) A perfect balance between sweet and savory flavors mesh well into this cut of meat. But as you may have suspected, the common problem is the meat becoming burnt from the sugars being exposed to overly high heat. But at HK BBQ master, their BBQ pork receives just the right amount of char on the outside to complement the balanced flavor from the meat.
Verdict This is certainly one of the best Asian BBQ meat stalls that can rival those in Asia. Chef Eric Leung has started taking a backseat while his son steps ahead in taking over their successful restaurant shop well deserving of all their accolades and awards.
